The church of St. Michael and all Angels at Cascob dates from the
13th century. it has a simple 14th century oak screen, a stone font
and a fine bell tower with one bell, dated 1663.
The last major restoration was carried out in 1895.
The church is now in need of urgent repairs particularly to the
14 century tower.
A report was prepared by Hook Mason Architects for the Diocese
of Swansea and Brecon in 2003 identified need work at a cost of
upwards of £80,000.
The Friends of Cascob Church was formed at an inaugral meeting
on 8th May 2005 with the purpose of putting the Church in good order.
Funds raised by the Friends will be for the ongoing maintenance
and restoration of the church and not its day to day costs.
