Past Events
29th April - The Bluebell walk took place on a beautiful Spring day with blue skies and sunshine to encourage a large group of walkers up the hill behind Cascob, to see and enjoy the glorious colour and scent of bluebells in full
bloom both in the woods and on the hill.
1st May - The Singing Blacksmiths came to Whitton Community Centre and provided the audience with a highly
entertaining evening of humour and songs.
30th June - A Barbeque at "Boatside" Aberedw was enjoyed by members of the Committee and some local friends
even though the weather was unkind.
7th July- "Kilvert at Cascob" was an atmospheric candlelit presentation of extracts from Kilvert's Diaries by
James Roose-Evans. A marvelous performance which left the capacity audience spellbound.
28th July - The annual Cascob Garden Party at Mill house Cascob was not blessed with the usual hot and sunny day but the event was well supported and a substantial amount was raised for the running expenses of the church.
18th August - A sponsored walk around Cascob which took place in appalling weather. Nevertheless a stalwart band set off in the pouring rain and were rewarded by homemade cakes and lots of hot tea in the church on their
return.
21st September - A slide show "Trekking to Annapurna" given by Chris Ing followed by a curry supper was very
well attended and there was a heavy demand for second helpings from a selection of curries.
No carol service was held at the church this year due to the building work in progress.
